San Antonio, get ready for the hulking new edition to the All Terrain line, the GMC Sierra All Terrain X. New for the Sierra All Terrain X is a monochromatic exterior with an overhauled cosmetic design, a strapping V8 with increased horsepower and Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac MT tires.
GMC customized the Sierra All Terrain X to reflect the truck brand’s professional grade and off-road capability, which the Sierra Denali so-oft exemplifies. It features premium materials with the latest technology and performance equipment that’s expected to provide an exceptional on- and off-road experience.
Custom on the GMC Sierra All Terrain X are tinted chrome accents, All-Terrain badging, a spray-on bedliner and a large black grille. The Sierra’s beefy appearance helps boost what’s under the hood of GMC’s best-selling model. A sturdy 5.3-liter V8 powers this special edition Sierra and it churns out 365-horsepower, an impressive jump from the previous delivery of 355-horsepower. Also featured is the Sierra All Terrain X’s distinct Eaton locking rear differential and suspension.
Sierra 1500 zealots can also expect GMC’s esteemed Z71 Off-Road suspension package with Hill Descent Control, Rancho shocks, an air cleaner and an underbody transfer case shield. The Mud-Terrain-rated Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac MT tires are capable of trampling over dirt, gravel and other off-road pavements for the smoothest off-road ride over the bumpiest roads.
According to GMC’s recent press release, this special edition will be available on the latest Sierra 1500 SLT crew cab/short box models. The X edition will provide 18 inch black wheels, LED headlamps, body-color panels and door handles, a performance exhaust system, six exterior colors and more.
The special edition GMC Sierra All Terrain X is expected to hit showrooms this spring. Price information is not available. Stay tuned for details.
