1. Cinco de Mayo
If we need to tell you what day this celebration falls on, you’re probably not from San Antonio. Commemorating the Mexican Army’s defeat of the French at the Battle of Puebla on May 5th of 1862, this celebration includes a festival with music, food, and good times to pay homage to Mexico’s victory. Spend some time on Market Square on the 5th to soak up all the good vibes.
2. America’s Armed Forces River Parade
Cavender Buick GMC North loves to support our troops and all they do to preserve our freedom. And an excellent way to celebrate all they’ve done for our country is enjoying the Armed Forces River Parade. Taking place on May 16, you’ll witness professionally decorated floats cruising down the River Walk, arranged to honor all the branches of service, our war veterans, military support groups, and all military personnel in between.
3. Culinaria
This wine and culinary arts festival takes place between May 13th and May 17th, and is a great wine and food event that serves as the gateway to Mexican and Latin American cuisine. The festival’s offerings range from dinners, food trucks, grand tastings, the Best of Mexico and Burgers, BBQ & Beer. Alright, our mouths are watering just thinking about all this delicious grub.
